A manufacturing company chose to move production for parts of its assortment abroad to a low-wage country in order to maintain its domestic competitiveness. I worked as a project manager and responsible for the move and establishment on site:



  • Project leader for relocation of production from Sweden to Serbia

  • Geographical location in Serbia

  • Room Search

  • Establishment of contact networks with authorities such as bank, accountant, municipality, tax office, customs office

  • Coordinate everything from premises, staff recruitment, layout, processes, training, flow, business system implementation and features in the company.

  • Logistics / shipping / stock control of components and finished goods to and from Sweden

  • Establishing contact and agreements with local service and component service providers


Moving parts of machining, welding and assembly were moved, such as:

  • Cutting of pipes, stainless and copper

  • Bending of pipes, stainless steel and copper

  • Subsequent machining such as cracking, flanging, finishing, grinding, etc.

  • Welding, copper and stainless steel

  • Mounting stations with high proportion of direct pay


Result: Already after 6 months, we delivered the first trailer with finished products from the modern, newly established factory.
